Woven Fusible Interlining: What to Check Before Bulk Ordering

Bulk purchasing of woven fusible interlining requires a clear technical specification. Simply asking for woven interlining may not provide enough information because suppliers can offer different weights, widths, coatings and constructions. Defining the exact requirement before ordering makes communication easier and helps manufacturers source material that matches their production process.
The first consideration is the intended garment application. Suits, blazers and sherwanis can require stronger structural support across larger panels, while other garments may need lighter grades. Double Ghoda supplies woven fusible material from 30 to 150 GSM. Its woven products use a polyester construction with yarns arranged in warp and weft directions and PA double-dot adhesive coating. The range is supplied at 150 cm width and 50 metres per roll.
When purchasing woven interlining, manufacturers should also confirm the GSM, width, roll length, colour and coating specification. The fusing process should be considered at the same time. Double Ghoda lists approximately 125–145°C, 18–25 seconds and 1.5–2.5 kg/cm² pressure for its woven PA-coated material. Before a large production order is processed, testing the selected interlining with the actual fashion fabric can help verify adhesion and the finished handle.
A sample test is especially useful when changing suppliers, fabric compositions or production equipment. The same woven fusible interlining can behave differently depending on the material it is bonded to and the conditions used during pressing. Once the appropriate grade has been confirmed, manufacturers can document the specification for future purchasing. This creates a consistent reference covering construction, GSM, coating and application. For garment manufacturers handling repeat orders, that level of clarity can make material procurement more predictable while helping production teams maintain the intended structure and appearance of finished garments.
